Selecting a report and applying filters
Once you have selected a file, the next thing to do is select a report you would like to run.
Select a category from the dropdown list and then a report. For this example choose Company & Financial for your category and Profit & Loss Detail as your report. See figure 6.
Scroll through the list of fields and click on AccountType.
For the range, select This Year from the dropdown. This will limit the records to only this year.
Figure 6.
To further reduce the number of records returned, you can specify multiple filters.
Click the Filters tab on the top.
Now select Account on the left hand side. Notice the window to the right gets populated with the different Account types.
Check Checking and Saving. See figure 7.
You can apply date ranges and values to even further reduce the results.
For this example we're
not
going to use the filter.
To remove a filter, select the filter on the far right and click the Remove Selected Filter button.
Figure 7.
Once you have completed setting your filter click the Next button to preview the data.
Note: The amount of time it takes to import the data will depend on the size of the company file. It is highly recommended that you apply as many filters as possible to reduce the number of records returned.
